FireWorks Coworking was designed by and for creative entrepreneurs. Co-founders Rob Chaput and Sonny Goodall have been business partners since 1996, so they know all about the unique challenges and joys facing small business owners. Their vision for FireWorks was to create a space where people just like them could come together, share resources and ideas, and reach new heights together. With their backgrounds in graphic design and marketing, they wanted to create a space where they felt at home. Having been in the creative business for nearly 30 years, Rob and Sonny love the magic that happens when you get creative thinkers and entrepreneurs under one roof.
So, why’d we name it FireWorks? It’s really simple, actually. Entrepreneurs all share a certain FIRE in their belly for doing their own thing. It requires staying committed to their passion, a willingness to take risks and try things, and humility to accept criticism and potentially fail. A coworking space is ultimately about getting your WORK done and having a chance to make your entrepreneurial flame a fire. Hence, FireWorks.
There’s a lot to love about Marietta, and we’re constantly inspired by all the creative minds and businesses in our city. With that, we strive to support local businesses at every turn, from the coffee beans in our machine to the speakers and catering we bring in for events.
The Mountain to River trail, often called “Marietta’s Beltline,” also runs right through our front yard. It’s easy to walk or bike to many local spots, offering that work-life balance we all dream of. Efforts like the M2R Trail and Marietta Square Market are starting to urbanize Marietta; we’re excited to be part of that movement.
Marietta is already an incredible city, full of history and community, but we’re committed to making it a better and more vibrant place to live and work, especially for small businesses. We’d love for you to join us.
FireWorks is where creative minds collide. It makes our day when we see members ask each other to lunch, ask for feedback on a project, hire each other, or just high-five after a job well done.
These connections are exactly why we’re here. Offering an environment where your business can thrive and grow means so much more to us than delivering your mail or making sure you can connect to the printers (though those things are super important). Even if your business is not part of the creative industry, you will surely benefit from the vibe and diversity of creative thinkers.
Way back in the day, our building was Holeproof Hosiery, a knitting factory where thousands of pairs of socks were made for the United States Army. Now, the space is an industrial, brick-walled, charming office complex that we love calling home. If you want an urban, industrial feel without spending half your life commuting on I-75, you’ll love it here.
Since FireWorks’ onset, we’ve been committed to creating an inspiring, functional space, where you can actually get stuff done. Everything from layout to lighting to task chairs was carefully considered. As an example, our adjustable height desks can actually boost creativity. Fun fact: Famous authors like Lewis Carroll, Charles Dickens, and Earnest Hemingway all used standing desks while writing to increase focus, productivity, and energy.
