COVID-19

Here’s what you need to know about our health and safety guidelines, so you can confidently work outside of your home again.

COVID-19 Health and Safety Guidelines

The health and safety of our community members is a top priority at FireWorks Coworking. In response to COVID-19, we’ve made changes to the layout of our space as well as our procedures and daily operations. We ask that you follow these guidelines for your safety and for others’. With your cooperation, we’ll navigate this new normal together.

General Guidelines
  • Do not come to FireWorks if you or someone in your household is sick or if you have travelled internationally in the past 14 days
  • If you have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, please do not come to FireWorks until you have sufficiently isolated (please defer to the most recent CDC guidelines) or have tested negative for COVID-19
  • Self-quarantine and follow CDC guidelines if you or someone in your household is experiencing COVID-19 symptoms
  • If you test positive for COVID-19, please notify our staff immediately so we can inform other members of exposure and complete additional cleaning. Your identity will be kept confidential
  • Use the hand sanitizer provided at our front entrance
  • Wash your hands frequently throughout the day
  • Practice social distancing by staying 6+ feet away from other members
  • Limit your in-person meetings (in both frequency and size)
  • Book meeting rooms and studios in advance whenever possible
  • Members are strongly encouraged to wear masks in common areas. Guests and nonmembers will have their temperature taken at the door
    • NOTE: Masks are not required in conference rooms, private offices, or phone booths
  • Cough or sneeze into a tissue or the crook of your arm. If you are coughing or sneezing frequently, you will be asked to go home
Phone Booths
  • Please wash your hands before entering a phone booth
  • Wipe down the phone booth (desk, door handles, and seat) with provided disinfectant after your call
Meeting Rooms & Studios
  • Our staff is sanitizing meeting rooms before and after scheduled bookings
  • We recommend limiting the number of guests in each meeting room (Flicker recommended max: 3 people; Fishbowl recommended max: 6 people)
  • Please book meeting rooms in advance when possible
  • Clear acrylic dividers are available upon request. Please let us know in advance if you need to use the dividers or want to request other accommodations
Common Areas
  • Maintain a distance of 6+ feet away from other members in common areas
  • Please don’t overcrowd common areas, like the kitchen, bathroom queue, lobby, front lounge, and hanging chair lounge
Spark Desks
  • Please spread out as much as possible when you choose a desk for the day. Spark Desks are spaced 6 feet apart, but please do not sit directly next to another member if there is an opportunity to spread out further
  • We’ve added 18″ tall dividers between each desk for further protection
  • Spark desks are being wiped down between people
Drinks and Snacks
  • Our coffee machine is self-serve and is up and running as usual. Disposable mugs and gloves are available, if that’s your preference
  • Individually wrapped snacks are available in the kitchen. Please only touch the snack you want to eat
  • We are happy to give you a small supply of your preferred sweetener to keep at your desk or in your office. Just let us know!
  • Disposable cups, flatware, and mugs are available in the kitchen. Our regular dishes are washed regularly and sanitized in the dishwasher
Guests & Visitors
  • Guests and visitors are required to wear face masks in our common areas
  • Please give us a heads up if you are expecting a visitor
  • Meet with guests in one of our meeting rooms whenever possible, not the common areas
  • You are responsible for making sure your guest is aware of and adheres to our health and safety guidelines
Cleaning
  • Bioprotect surface protectant is being routinely applied and tested. It stays active for 90 days and is being tested every 30 days to make sure it’s still working and keeping things clean. Learn more about Bioprotect
  • We’re sanitizing common areas and high-touch surfaces daily with a disinfectant, as an extra precaution

Thanks so much for your support and cooperation as we work hard to make FireWorks a safe place for everyone to work.

Be Part of a Co·Work·ing Community

You can divide the coworking industry into two general camps: those who say coworking is about real estate, and those who say coworking is about community. We fall firmly in the latter camp. FireWorks is about so much more than just the physical space, though we believe we have awesome space too.

At its best, coworking deepens your knowledge of and appreciation for other fields of work, ties you into the local community and economy, and powerfully impacts your mental health. We’ve seen members regularly celebrate each other’s work wins, collaborate on projects, deepen friendships, and even hire each other. Come for the space – stay for the community.
